The bonding curve

How the price moves, where it starts, where it graduates.

The shape

Every coin is created on Meteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve with the same launch config, so every coin has the same curve. It is a constant-product segment from an opening price to a graduation price, built with Meteora's market-cap builder: the coin opens at about 25 SOL of fully diluted market cap and graduates at about 420 SOL, once the curve holds 85 SOL net of fees.

Meteora's program holds the curve's state and settles every trade; the pad never touches a trade. Buys stop at the graduation price: a buy for more than the curve has left fails as exact-in, so the site sends buys as partial fill, which takes what fits and leaves the rest of the SOL in your wallet.

The numbers

Total supply1,000,000,000, 6 decimals, minted once at launch
QuoteSOL (wrapped for the swap, unwrapped back in the same transaction)
Opening market cap≈ 25 SOL
Graduates at85 SOL raised (2 SOL on devnet)
Market cap at graduation≈ 420 SOL
Supply sold on the curve≈ 80%; the rest seeds the pool
MetadataMetaplex, immutable from launch

Fees on the curve

The trading fee is 1% of the SOL side, both ways. For the first 70 seconds after a launch it starts at 50% and falls linearly to 1%, which makes sniping the first block unprofitable; the creator's own first buy, inside the launch transaction, pays the base 1%. Meteora keeps 20% of every fee; the other 80% is the pad's, and half of that goes to the star. See Fees and earnings.
